Go Koong
Go Koong Korean Restaurant
Go Koong Korean Restaurant (古宮韓國料理) was a longstanding Korean dining spot nestled in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Signature offerings included delightfully warming dishes such as steamed pumpkin with beef ribs, homemade buckwheat noodle soup in clear beef broth, and an indulgent seafood–ginseng chicken soup praised for both its richness and restorative qualities, even earning endorsement from renowned gourmand Cai Lan.
Go Koong Korean Restaurant centres on authenticity and cultural heritage. The name 古宮 translates to “Old Imperial Palace,” evoking the refinement and tradition of imperial Korean cuisine. This sense of heritage was carried through every touchpoint — from the food photography and styling that highlighted the depth and richness of traditional dishes, to the design of the menus.
The lunch menu was kept straightforward and approachable, while the dinner menu was elevated into a thick, tactile booklet bound with traditional Japanese stab binding, reinforcing the craftsmanship and cultural depth behind the dining experience.
